Benelli TRK 902 Xplorer: The 100-HP Enduro Arriving in 2025

Introducing the Benelli TRK 902 Xplorer

Tumamoto.com – Benelli TRK 902 Xplorer: A New Era in Enduro Bikes for 2025.
The EICMA 2024 unveiled the latest addition to Benelli’s lineup, the TRK 902 Xplorer. Leaked photos and specifications of the TRK 902 and TRK 902 X hinted at a new era for enduro motorcycles. Boasting a 100-HP engine, this bike sets a new standard in its class.

Originally an Italian brand, Benelli has received upgrades to meet modern expectations. The TRK 902 and TRK 902 X models come with improved performance and advanced features. Their design caters to both adventurous and casual riders. This unveiling highlights Benelli’s commitment to pushing boundaries.

A Powerful 100-HP Parallel-Twin Engine

Since 2005, Benelli has been under the ownership of the Chinese Qianjiang Group. While the design team remains in Italy, the engineering closely aligns with QJMotor’s platforms. The TRK 902 and TRK 902 X feature a water-cooled parallel-twin engine. This engine shares similarities with the Benelli 902 S and QJMotor SRK 900 naked bikes.

Key specifications include a 904cc displacement, DOHC, and four valves per cylinder. The engine produces up to 105 HP and 90 Nm of torque. For the TRK 902 Xplorer, Benelli confirmed an output of 100 HP. Standard features include traction control, multiple riding modes, and a six-speed gearbox. These upgrades make the TRK 902 an impressive competitor.

Different Wheels for Varied Terrains

The TRK 902 Xplorer boasts a top speed of 215 km/h, as per Chinese regulatory data. Stability at high speeds is ensured by components such as a steel tube frame, aluminum swingarm, and suspension from Marzocchi. Additionally, Brembo brakes with ABS enhance safety.

The TRK 902 features 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, while the TRK 902 Xplorer has tubeless spoked wheels. The latter’s front wheel measures 19 inches, providing better off-road capabilities. Both models share a wheelbase of 1,540 millimeters, ensuring enhanced stability. With a seat height of 825 millimeters, the bike remains accessible for riders of various heights.

Comprehensive Features and Sturdy Build

With a 24-liter fuel tank, the TRK 902 weighs approximately 230 kilograms. The TRK 902 Xplorer’s precise weight is 231 kilograms, which includes crash bars and a center stand. This robust build ensures durability for challenging terrains.

Additional features include a seven-inch color display with connectivity, arrow navigation, and tire pressure monitoring. Heated grips and seats add comfort during long rides. Optional accessories include aluminum panniers and a top case. The bike’s maximum allowable weight is 409 kilograms. These features enhance the TRK 902’s utility for touring enthusiasts.

Showcasing the TRK 902 Xplorer at EICMA 2024

At EICMA 2024, Benelli showcased the TRK 902 Xplorer in the “Jungle Fog” color scheme. Yellow accents on handguards added a unique touch to its design. Exclusive features of the Xplorer include auxiliary lights and an electronically adjustable windscreen. The rear of the bike incorporates a toolbox instead of a pillion seat, reminiscent of older BMW GS models.

While the display model featured a 22-liter fuel tank, the production version is expected to retain the standard 24-liter capacity. These refinements underline Benelli’s dedication to innovation and user-focused design.

Market Availability and Expected Pricing

The release dates for the Benelli TRK 902, TRK 902 X, and TRK 902 Xplorer remain unconfirmed. However, they are anticipated to debut in China before reaching Europe in 2025. In Germany, the current largest Benelli enduro is the TRK 702/X, priced at €7,649. With a more powerful 100-HP engine, the TRK 902 models will likely cost under €10,000.

These competitive prices position Benelli’s enduros as attractive options for budget-conscious riders. Their performance and features make them a compelling choice in the mid-range adventure bike market.

Conclusion

Benelli’s TRK 902 Xplorer demonstrates significant advancements for the 2025 enduro lineup. Key differences between the TRK 902 and TRK 902 X revolve around wheel configurations, catering to varying terrains. The parallel-twin engine delivers 100 HP, matching global competitors. Weighing around 230 kilograms with a full tank, the TRK 902 balances power and stability.

The EICMA 2024 showcase highlighted notable features like heated grips, auxiliary lights, and an adjustable windscreen. Though pricing and availability remain uncertain, the TRK 902 series is poised to become a popular choice. With its robust build and advanced features, Benelli reaffirms its position in the adventure motorcycle segment.
